Student City

Breda has a growing number of students, which is why accommodation in Breda can be scarce. For students it can be difficult to find a suitable place to live. Here are some tips for finding a place to stay. Unfortunately, Breda University of Applied Sciences has no campus or student rooms of its own and, therefore, it will be your own responsibility to find accommodation in Breda. Rental prices for a student room in Breda vary from €350 to €550 per calendar month. However, you will most commonly find rooms to rent for around € 400.

Finding accommodation

It is encouraged to start your search early for the best chance of finding accommodation that fits your needs. Nowadays most students find student housing by the use of Facebook, Housing Anywhere and Click for rooms.

Click for rooms

If you want to find a good place to live in time, you cansubscribe to Klik voor Kamers (Click for rooms). This is a joint initiative of the three housing corporations in Breda: Laurentius, Alwel and WonenBreburg. You can register (free of charge) and find a room through their website www.klikvoorkamers.nl/en/.

Please note: To register with Klik voor Kamers you need proof of enrolment as an Breda University of Applied Sciences student. You can request this by sending an e-mail via proofofregistration@buas.nl. Mention your full name and student number in your e-mail please.

Non-EU students

We have an arrangement with housing corporations Singelveste, Alwel and WonenBreburg that 50 rooms will be available for NON-EU Breda University of Applied Sciences students in the academic year 2019-2020 and 30 rooms for NON-EU exchange students. These rooms are furnished and have fixed contract dates. These contract dates cannot be changed and the contract will end after the period of your stay, which is one semester or one year. Extension will not be possible. Once you have been accepted for a study programme at Breda University of Applied Sciences, you will be provided with personal login details around June/July for the website of Student Rooms Breda, www.studentroomsbreda.com, where you can find and select a room.

Please note that there are more students than rooms available and the rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Check out the FAQ of Student Rooms Breda.
