Tuition fees
You will pay your tuition fee by means of a digital direct debit authorisation to Breda University of Applied Sciences. You will receive an e-mail with the request to enter your payment details via your ‘To do’ list in Studielink. Once your direct debit authorisation has been confirmed you will receive a message from Studielink.
As of May you can indicate via Studielink whether you want to
- pay the full tuition fee at once;
- pay the tuition fee in 12 monthly instalments
If you choose to pay in 12 instalments, you will pay a € 24,- administration fee, which will be collected at the same time as the first instalment, in September.
The instalment will take place every month around the 25th so please make sure that the balance in your account is sufficient at that moment. If this is not the case, the bank will reverse the transaction, which means that the tuition fee is not paid. In that case, you will automatically receive a reminder. More information on this can be found in the regulation regarding overdue payments.

- Changing your direct debit authorisation
All year round, you can change the payment details you entered in Studielink. For instance, you can change the account number, specify that someone else is going to pay, and change from paying in one instalment to multiple instalments and vice versa. The change will take effect from the next payment date. This can also be in the new academic year. Breda University of Applied Sciences determines when the change will take effect.
- Someone else is paying your tuition fee
Forward the email containing the payment link to the person who pays your tuition fees. You will receive a confirmation when this person has made the payment.
- Payment via a bank account outside the SEPA area*
If you don’t have a bank account within the SEPA area, you will have to pay the appropriate tuition fee to Breda University of Applied Sciences yourself, before 1 August. You will find the bank account details in Studielink after you have filled in your payment details. Unfortunately it is not possible to pay the tuition fee in instalments.

- Someone else pays my tuition
When someone else is paying your tuition fees (and has an account within SEPA area), that person must confirm the digital authorisation. You will receive an email with a link that you must send through to this person. It is important that the authorisation is confirmed before 31 August.
If this is not possible, you can change the payment details via 'payment’ in Studielink, this way you can confirm the authorisation. On 25 September the first tuition fee will be deduced*. Make sure you have sufficient funds in your account.
* If the 25th falls on the weekend, the tuition fee will be deduced after the weekend in most cases.- I chose two programmes; do I have to pay the tuition twice?
If you have chosen to follow two bachelor programmes, you are not supposed to pay the tuition fee at both institutions. In that case, you can apply for a proof of paid tuition fees (BBC). A BBC is a piece of evidence showing that you have paid the statutory tuition fee at an educational institution in higher education.
A proof of paid tuition fees can only be requested in Studielink if you are already fully enrolled for a study programme at an educational institution and you have submitted an enrolment application for a study programme at another educational institution for the same academic year.
Depending on whether the educational institution supports this, the BBC can be requested digitally and forwarded in Studielink. If the educational institution does not support this, you will request the BBC outside Studielink from the educational institution where you have already paid. You will then forward the BBC to the educational institution where you want to pay your tuition fees with a BBC. Read this Step-by-Step instruction
about how to arrange a request for proof of paid tuition fees'.Please note: you can only use a 'Proof of Payment' if you owe the statutory tuition fee at both institutions.

After payment of the tuition fee plus €24.00 administration costs, your account will be reactivated. More information can be found at the arrears settlement.
