Sustainability at BUas

Climate & Sustainability is a strategic priority at BUas, shaping and leading the organisation at every level.

Our view on Sustainability

BUas sees sustainability as a shared responsibility to contribute to a liveable planet for all life. We integrate sustainability into our campus, organisation, education and research, and are developing into a climate-positive organisation. As Zoöp, we consider the interests of all living beings in decisions related to sustainability, so we can contribute to the restoration of ecosystems. Social sustainability is also considered a key priority within BUas, with a special focus on health and well-being, internationalisation, and diversity and inclusion. Students, lecturers, and staff collaborate on innovative solutions that contribute to a sustainable future for all life.

Community Garden

Would you like to contribute to a greener campus?

BUas has an organic kitchen garden on campus, maintained according to permaculture principles by students, staff and local residents. Together, we tend to the most beautiful flowers, the tastiest vegetables and fruit, and the most flavoursome herbs. Much of the harvest ends up on the plates of our learning restaurant, Sibelicious.
