Application procedure

Make sure you follow the right procedure.

If you have a diploma from a Dutch education institution (diplomas from the Netherlands Antilles not included), please follow the application procedure for Dutch students, even if you don't have Dutch nationality.

If you have a diploma from a Non-Dutch educational institution (educational institutions from the Netherlands Antilles included), please follow the application procedure for international students, even if you have Dutch nationality.

Application procedure for Dutch students

If you meet the admission requirements and you apply by 1 May at the latest, you will certainly be able to start your studies. If you apply after 1 May, Breda University of Applied Sciences will decide whether or not you will be admitted to the study programme.

In case you have not obtained your secondary school diploma yet, you can already apply by submitting your current grade list.

  • Step 3: Complete your registration; payment of tuition fee

Step 1: Apply via Studielink

  • Go to Studielink
  • Login to your account or create an account if you do not have one yet
  • Apply for the right study programme
  • Once you have applied you can track the status of your application on your personal Studielink page

Step 2: Study choice activities (Studiekeuzecheck)

Before or after registration you may attend one of the Orientation Days. On this occasion you will also do the Studiekeuzecheck. In case you are not able to attend one of these days you will get an invitation after registration in Studielink. The orientation day will give you an accurate picture of the study programme, its teaching methods, and the area of expertise. You will get to meet other students, lecturers and the coordinator of the programme, and last but not least, it is also a perfect opportunity for Breda University of Applied Sciences to get acquainted with you.

Study choice recommendation
After having done the Studiekeuzecheck you will receive a study choice recommendation from Breda University of Applied Sciences: a confirmation that the study programme fits you indeed, or an urgent recommendation to address a few gaps in your knowledge and/or skills before starting on the programme. Based on the activities and the study choice recommendation, you decide whether or not you actually want to go ahead with the study programme.

Applying after 1 May
If you apply after 1 May * Breda University of Applied Sciences will decide whether or not you are admitted to the study programme.

* The reference date of 1 May does not concern students who will finish the current academic year with a negative binding recommendation.

Step 3: Complete your registration: payment of tuition fee

In order to complete your registration, you need to confirm your digital authorization or pay your tuition fee. More information about payment of tuition fee.

During the entire application, selection and registration procedure, we will keep in touch with you through email. Please make sure you read and respond to the instructions in time. You can follow your progress in your pre-study portal.

Application procedure for international students

If you meet the admission requirements and you complete step 1 (Apply via Studielink) by 1 May at the latest, you will certainly be able to start your studies. If you apply after via Studielink 1 May, Breda University of Applied Sciences will decide whether or not you will be admitted to the study programme.

In case you have not obtained your secondary school diploma yet, you can already apply by submitting your current grade list.

Step 1: Apply via Studielink

  • Go to Studielink
  • Login to your account or create an account if you do not have one yet
  • Apply for the right study programme
  • Once you have applied you can track the status of your application on your personal Studielink page

Step 2: Apply via My online application

Once you have submitted your Studielink enrolment, you will receive an email inviting you to follow up on your Studielink enrolment by applying in My online application.

In My online application you will be requested to answer additional questions and to upload your application documents; CV, Motivation letter, ID, your secondary school diploma including list of grades and translation (if these documents are not in one of the following languages: English, French, German or Dutch) or your most recent list of grades if you have not obtained your diploma yet. 

Admission email

If you (conditionally) meet the educational requirements you will receive an admission e-mail. In case of conditional admission, you will be requested to upload your diploma documents and/or English test results in a later stage in My online application.

You can track the status of your admission in My online application and in the your Pre-study portal. 

Step 3: Complete your registration: payment of tuition fee 

In order to complete your registration, you need to confirm your digital authorization or pay your tuition fee.  More information about payment of tuition fee.
