AI in education

In this rapidly changing tech world, we encourage our students to think critically and help lecturers to be both mentors and learners.

Together, we are building an educational culture in which we embrace technological innovations and continue to critically reflect on the impact and possibilities of AI.

At BUas, we ensure that every lecturer and student develops the right AI skills by:

  • Including an AI level with each learning objective, indicating how AI may be used in learning activities.
  • Training lecturers through in-house AI training courses (Fundamental – Advanced – Expert).
  • Offering students an online AI course through our digital learning environment Brightspace.
  • Organising weekly AI Sparks sessions in which we discuss specific AI tools, AI learning methods, and AI topics in half an hour.
  • Facilitating AI experiments in which staff and students can test their own AI ideas.

AI is, of course, a theme in the curriculum of all our programmes. Students can also specifically choose the Applied Data Science and Artificial Intelligence bachelor's programme.
