Our view on AI in education
In this rapidly changing tech world, we encourage our students to think critically and help lecturers to be both mentors and learners. Together, we are building an educational culture in which we embrace technological innovations and continue to critically reflect on the impact and possibilities of AI.
Approach
We train our teachers
AI proficiency starts with the teacher. That is why we train teachers in-house across three levels: Fundamental, Advanced, and Expert.
This ensures that every teacher can use AI responsibly and effectively when guiding students.
Clear guidelines for students
Every learning objective includes an AI level that indicates how AI may be used for that particular learning activity.
These agreements are described in the BUas AI study guide. This document shows the extent to which students are allowed to use AI for a learning activity.
