Roland Kleve

Academy director – Academy for Leisure & Events, Breda University of Applied Sciences 

Since 1 October 2019 Roland Kleve is appointed as Academy Director of the BUas Academy for Leisure & Events. 
Roland has more than 25 years of experience in the leisure industry. He worked for over 10 years in various roles for Disneyland and was involved in the foundation of Disneyland Paris. He was managing director for Bobbejaanland and he was in the same role responsible for the revitalisation of the Zandvoort race track in 2016-2018. Before joining BUas, Roland worked as Group Venue Director for Stage Entertainment in Amsterdam.

Michiel Middendorf

General Manager – World Forum The Hague

My life has been hospitality industry driven over 40 years in The Netherlands, USA and Spain. I was with Marriott Hotels, Hard Rock Cafe and TGI Fridays. I have worked in destination management and conference management for the last 14 years.
I am an active member of the Economic Board of the City of The Hague and Vice-President of the Partners in Tourism association of the City of The Hague. At World Forum The Hague we play an active role in education from vocational to college level. I recently advised the Breda University of Applied Science with the development of their Master Strategic Events Management which will start in September 2020.

Olga Wagenaar

Master Strategic Events Management – Breda University of Applied Sciences

Project leader of the application procedure and development of the new Master Strategic Events Management. This part-time master starts September 2020 and combines study with working in the industry. The aim of the master is to contribute to the developments in the events industry in the field of knowledge, strategy and innovation. The unique selling point is to use events as a tool for strategic value creation with the industry at the heart of our education.

Innovation Square is a place where education, research and industry come together.

Innovation Square directly connects education and practice-oriented research to activities in the relevant industries. Innovation Square is a platform for students, alumni, researchers and industry professionals from Breda and far beyond.
