Hospitality Service Instructor
About this job
You will work as a Hospitality Service Instructor (1 FTE) at the Academy for Hotel & Facility Management (AHF) of Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). Through our in-house training company Sibelicious, we provide real-world learning experiences to prepare the next generation of hospitality professionals. In this role, you will mainly focus on banqueting and catering - a new addition to Sibelicious.
Drawing on your industry experience you will instruct, coach, and monitor students in service techniques, presentation standards, hospitable behaviour, and the operation of equipment and point-of-sale systems. You will provide ongoing feedback and guide the first- and second-years students in their daily tasks and responsibilities. You will also be responsible for the smooth running of daily operations across all outlets: coordinating activities, ensuring proper close-down at the end of each shift, overseeing stock levels and the availability of learning materials, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and functionality of the outlets. Where needed, you will step in operationally yourself. You will also be actively involved in student evaluations, including assigning, initiating, and coordinating duties and activities, and stepping in with corrections where needed. You will work closely with a team of professional instructors and attend regular department-related meetings. All daily communication at Sibelicious is in English.
