Is your enrolment finalised?
After submitting your enrolment application in Studielink, there are still a number of steps to be taken. Once all the lights are green, your enrolment is finalised.

Pre-study portal
If you have already received your login name, you have access to the BUas pre-study portal. Quite handy, because there you will find all necessary information about your degree programme.

Housing
Living in Breda. That’s great fun! Just like in other student cities, it’s quite difficult to find a place to live in Breda. Here are a few tips to make your search easier.

Visa
In order to be able to study in the Netherlands, you may need to apply for residency. This depends on your nationality.

Study costs
Studying costs money. How much money depends on your personal situation and the study programme you have chosen. Luckily, you may be eligible for student finance.

Dutch bank account
A Dutch account and debit card will help you in your day-to-day activities by making it easier and more convenient to pay for all kind of things.

Insurance
All residents in the Netherlands are legally required to have adequate health insurance. A third-party liability insurance is highly recommended.

Municipality
If you stay in the Netherlands for more than 4 months, you are obliged to register with the municipal administration of the place where you are going to live.

Side job
Student life can be pretty expensive. A job can help you cover the costs. International students in The Netherlands are allowed to have a side job.

A flying start
Start studying at BUas means meeting lots of new people, a new city and a new country! To make this easier, you will start your studies with a few fun introduction days.

Breda student city
Breda has been proclaimed best downtown of the Netherlands. Understandably, seeing that Breda is bustling with pubs, pavement cafés, restaurants, bars, theatres and cinemas.
