We recommend completing Application steps 1 and 2 by 1 July. While the final deadline is 15 August, applications submitted after 1 July will only be reviewed after 15 August due to the summer holidays. Please note the following deadlines for completing Application Steps 1 and 2:

Application steps
- Step 1: Enter your enrolment application in Studielink
Start your application by submitting your enrolment application through Studielink, the official Dutch portal for higher education.
Please note: in Studielink, select Universiteit (in the English version: University) when asked for the Onderwijsinstelling (English version: Institution of Higher Education)
- Step 2: Apply via My Online Application
After submitting your Studielink application, you will receive an email with instructions to continue your application in My online application. Here, you will need to provide additional details (e.g. about your English proficiency) and upload the following documents:
- Your CV (resume)
- A motivation letter
- A copy of your passport or ID
- Your Bachelor’s diploma and transcript of records (or a recent transcript if you have not graduated yet)
- An official translation of your documents (if not in English, Dutch, French, or German)
- A programme-specific assignment (details will be shared in My online application)
After your documents are reviewed by our admissions team and you (conditionally) meet the educational and English language requirements, your assignment will be assessed by the academic team.
The intake assignment will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Demonstrated fundamental skills and knowledge in quantitative and qualitative academic research methods
- Theoretical understanding of leisure and tourism studies, typically acquired through an academic bachelor’s programme
- Academic reading and writing skills
Premaster’s programme
A student who has passed the premaster’s programme is not obligated to follow the intake procedure. For this student, the conditions to enter the academic master’s programme are mentioned in the Application and Enrolment Regulations.You can track the status of your application on your personal Studielink page and in the progress overview in My online application.
- Step 3: Interview
If your previous education and the assignment meets the programme standards, you will be invited for an intake interview - in person (if you are in the Netherlands) or online via Teams. The admission decision will be communicated to you within five working days after the interview.
- Step 4: Complete your enrolment; payment of tuition fee
To complete your enrolment, confirm your digital payment authorisation or pay your tuition fee. More information about payment of tuition fee.
