International applicants
The Creative Business programme admits 190 students each year through a selection procedure.
Make sure you apply before the deadline of 1 May, and to complete your application in My Online Application before 2 May, 5 PM CET. You then have until 15 May to complete your assessment.
Tip: Don't wait until 1 May! If you apply earlier, you will hear sooner whether you have been accepted. This is because we continuously select our students. This way you know more quickly where you stand. You can already apply from 1 October.
Application steps
- Step 1: Submit your application via Studielink
You are required to apply via Studielink, the platform for enrolment in higher education programmes in the Netherlands. You can track the status of your application on your personal Studielink page and in the progress overview in My Online Application.
- Step 2: Apply via My Online Application
After submitting your application in Studielink, you will receive an email inviting you to complete your application in My Online Application. This must be done by 2 May, 5 PM CET.
In My Online Application, you'll be asked to answer additional questions (e.g., about your English proficiency) and upload the following documents:
- Curriculum vitae (resume)
- ID / Passport
- Secondary school diploma with grade list and translation (if not in English, French, German, or Dutch), or your most recent grade list if you haven’t yet received your diploma.
You can track the status of your application in My Online Application.
- Step 3: Take part in the selection procedure
Part 1: Online intake assessment
Once your educational background is conditionally approved, you'll complete an online assessment. The earlier you complete the assessment, the earlier you’ll have your interview – and the sooner you’ll know whether you’ve been selected for our programme. You have until 15 May at the latest to complete your assessment. The assessment includes:
- Application letter
- CV
- Study skills test
- Previous knowledge test
After completing the online assessment, you will be invited to an interview within two weeks. Applicants with a Dutch diploma can choose their own interview date via the assessment website.
Please note: the deadline for completing the online assessment is 15 May. If you complete the assessment earlier, you can also schedule your interview sooner—and therefore receive your admissions decision sooner.
Part 2: Interview
Once the online assessment is complete, you’ll be invited to an online interview (Microsoft Teams). During the interview we will discuss:
- Why Breda University of Applied Sciences?
- Why Creative Business?
- Orientation (Open Day / Orientation Day)
- Developments in the media industry
- Your expectations of the degree programme
- Questions to form a picture of the profession
Result
You will receive your result within one week after the interview. Based on your total score, you’ll be either admitted, placed on the waiting list, or not admitted.Read more about the different parts, the criteria and how the total score is determined.
In the case of conditional admission, you will be requested to upload your diploma documents and/or English test results in a later stage in My online application.
- Step 4: Complete your enrolment: payment of tuition fee
In order to complete your enrolment, you need to confirm your digital authorisation or pay your tuition fee. You can find more information about the payment of the tuition fee here. This will be possible starting from May. You will receive an e-mail for this purpose, with the request to enter your payment details via your ‘To do’ list in Studielink.
We'll stay in touch
