As a Placement Support Officer (0.8-1.0 FTE) at the Academy for Hotel and Facility (AHF) at Breda University of applied science (BUas), you will be helping students build their future. You will achieve this by ensuring, together with your colleagues, unforgettable work placements for students. Work placements enable students to increase their knowledge and skills that they will later need as starting professionals. What will you be doing within the team? You will ensure that the preconditions are in order, and everything runs smoothly for students, work placement supervisors and work placement companies. For example, you will be taking care of work placement contracts, forms and answering e-mails. In our CRM-system you will process all administration meticulously. You will help students who visit our front desk with questions or handle phone calls from interested parties and placement companies. In addition, you check if all trips are registered, take care of travel risk procedures and process embargo-requests. Other tasks may involve account management, which means maintaining good relations with companies and expanding our network as well as hosting information sessions to students or help organise the placement experience and industry days.
To improve the complete student placement process, you will identify bottlenecks, devises solutions and suggests improvements with regard to the industry and the needs of our students. For this end, you will support a few students per semester, under the supervision of a qualified lecturer/researcher. This will ensure a realistic and up-to-date perspective on the process (the professional field, the challenges the students encounter, and the quality of the guidance from BUas).
What do we offer?
- The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of €3,064.08 and a monthly maximum of €4,084.93 (gross amounts based on full-time employment);
- This position is classified in scale 7 of the cao-hbo (collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be Educational support assistant;
- This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employment contract;
- Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport;
- You will receive a contribution towards your health insurance costs;
- You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% in December and an annual holiday allowance of 8% in May;
- You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost 11 weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position;

What do we ask of you?
- You have at least an MBO 4 level of professional and intellectual ability and can work well with different systems or quickly learn to operate them, including Microsoft Office 365;
- You are flexible, service and solution oriented towards lecturers, students, and your immediate colleagues;
- You preferably have an extensive network in Facility Management;
- You have good communication skills and able to work well with different parties and contact persons;
- You can cope in in a dynamic and hectic environment;
- You work efficiently and structured;
- You are an administrative and organisational talent;
- You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, having excellent Dutch and English speaking and writing skills is necessary as you will interact with both national and international colleagues and stakeholder across the organisation and beyond.
