Lecturer of Logistics

As a lecturer of logistics (0.6 - 0.8 FTE) at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) you are passionate about production logistics, planning, purchasing, multimodal transport and distribution. You will challenge, teach and support students, and develop course materials to ensure future trends are embedded in our curriculums. You will be working in an intercultural and international environment. No better place to do all this than at our green, sustainable campus and specialist, small-scale institute in the city centre of Breda.

About this job

As a Lecturer of Logistics (0.6-0.8 FTE) you will guide students in their development and are involved in developing the curriculum within the Academy for Built Environment & Logistics (ABEL) at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). Your main teaching assignment will be for the bachelor programmes Logistics Management and Logistics Engineering of ABEL. In a tight-knit team of co-lecturers, you will continuously develop and innovate the bachelor’s programmes in the fields of supply chain management, transport management, warehousing, inventory management and production logistics. You can translate this into inspiring education for our students, informing them about the current and upcoming developments the industry and companies are facing. In addition, you will supervise and coach students e.g. with their projects, placement and bachelor thesis.

In our educational vision, collaborative learning is paramount. Rather than giving lectures, we strive for continuous interaction with students, involving our industry partners as often as possible. Our students work on different forms of challenges in small-scale learning communities. You are the person connecting these challenges, different students, industry and practice together to create meaningful learning experiences. You are not the one who knows all the answers, but you are the one who guides students where to find them. As a lecturer you will also learn new things every day. Given the international nature of our university of applied sciences, we offer our programmes in both Dutch and English.

You will be part of a team of passionate educators that operates on a team-based working principle where responsibilities and authority are assigned to the teams within the Academy. Together, we bring a positive can-do attitude and sense of humour to co-create the future of education in Logistics, our curriculum and further developments. Are you ready to create meaningful experiences?
