As Event Organiser (0.1 FTE) you will be responsible for organising events for People & Organisation. You will coordinate all aspects of events from A to Z: from initial planning and stakeholder communication to execution on the day itself. This means reserving locations, arranging catering, coordinating technical facilities, managing invitations and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. You ensure that events meet BUas' professional standards and contribute to our reputation as a leading international university of applied sciences.
In this hands-on role, you take the initiative to proactively solve problems and work closely with various departments within BUas. You report weekly directly to a Management Team member, who will steer and mentor you in this role. This dynamic position offers variety in tasks and the opportunity to develop your organisational skills in an international context.
What do we offer?
- The salary for this position amounts €2,598.60 per month (gross amounts based on full-time employment);
- This position is classified in scale 6 of the cao-hbo (collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be support assistant;
- This position involves a temporary employment contract from as soon as possible until 1 December 2025 with no possibility of renewal;
- Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport;
- You will receive a contribution towards your health insurance costs;
- You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% in December and an annual holiday allowance of 8% in May;
- You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost 11 weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position;
- You have the option to work partly from home, which can help improve your work-life balance;
- You will build an attractive pension through the ABP pension fund;

What do we ask of you?
- You are a recent graduate at HBO (higher education) level, preferably in a relevant field such as event management, communication or hospitality;
- You are hands-on, communicatively skilled and like to take initiative;
- You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and can work independently;
- You have good organisational skills and an eye for detail;
- You can handle deadlines and work pressure well;
- You have excellent English language skills, both oral and written; speaking Dutch is a plus;
- We expect you to be present during the events, and sometimes that can mean working outside office hours;
- You have an affinity with the international educational environment.
