External and Internal Communication Team Lead
About this job
As a team lead (0.6–0.8 FTE) at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas), you will work as a coach, director, developer and networker for the External and Internal Communication team within the Marketing, Communication & Student-community (MC&S) department. MC&S supports the wider BUas community – academies, R&D, and the Executive Board – across all areas of external and internal communication, and drives a range of initiatives in line with communication policy and strategy. You will work hands-on alongside the team while also providing strategic advice, developing communication policy, and contributing to operational delivery. The ultimate goal is to position BUas effectively (corporate communication) and to raise the profile of domain- and degree programme-specific expertise, as well as BUas R&D, among the relevant external and internal stakeholders.
You will support the team in achieving its goals, ensuring that all team members are self-reliant and clear on what is expected of them. You will define, monitor and communicate your team’s direction and objectives in line with those of the organisation as a whole. As a people-oriented leader and natural connector, you thrive when working with a diverse range of stakeholders in a dynamic higher education environment. The MC&S External & Internal Communication team also plays an important role in supporting student recruitment marketing, working closely with the other marcom colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, and management and the Executive Board. You will actively facilitate collaboration across teams and departments, foster BUas-wide collaborations, identify new opportunities, and advise management and staff on processes, procedures and service delivery.
The expected start date is 1 July 2026. The position is available at 0.6 FTE, with 0.7 or 0.8 FTE open to discussion.
