All-round Operations Officer
About this job
As an all-round operations officer (0.5 FTE) at the Academy for Games & Media (AGM), you will be working in the back office. You will be supporting all the educational support processes from enrolment to final exams in Osiris. You will also be a back-up buddy for intake. With your help, we will have the extra hands needed to make sure everything runs smoothly.
In addition, you will ensure good accessibility by phone and e-mail for AGM students and lecturers. Student questions may relate to assessments, intake interviews, catch-up tests, failure to enrol, picking up degree certificates, and more. Answering or directing them to the appropriate person is no issue for you. During meetings you will proficiently record minutes and distribute them accurately to relevant stakeholders. Together with your colleagues you work with a ‘buddy system’, which ensures that tasks are effortlessly taken over when needed. Working hours are quite flexible, but you need to be available on Mondays and Wednesdays. You can cope in in a dynamic and hectic environment and love that no two working days are the same. Your workplace will be on our green sustainable campus near the centre of Breda.
What do we offer?
- The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of €2,598.60 and a monthly maximum of €3,545.13 (gross amounts based on full-time employment);
- This position is classified in scale 6 of the cao-hbo (collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be Administrative assistant;
- This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employment contract;
- Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport;
- You will receive a contribution towards your health insurance costs;
- You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% in December and an annual holiday allowance of 8% in May;
- You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost 11 weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position;
- You will build an attractive pension through the ABP pension fund;

What do we ask of you?
- You have an MBO 4 level of professional and intellectual ability and can work well with different systems or quickly learn to operate them, including Microsoft Office 365;
- You have experience with Osiris;
- You are flexible, service and solution oriented towards lecturers, students, and your immediate colleagues;
- You are available on Mondays and Wednesdays;
- You find it important to make a positive contribution to the team and you have a ‘can do’ mentality;
- You can cope in in a dynamic and hectic environment;
- You are an administrative and organisational talent;
- You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, having excellent Dutch and English speaking and writing skills is necessary as you will interact with both national and international colleagues and stakeholder across the organisation and beyond.
