The sustainable mobility transition calls for LEVs

The transition to sustainable mobility in the Netherlands is becoming increasingly urgent, and in this regard, Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs) play a crucial role.

These LEVs, such as e-scooters and e-bikes, offer a promising solution for urban mobility by being greener and more efficient. However, despite these benefits, we face challenges regarding safety and integration within existing infrastructure.

To address these issues, the LEVERAGE project was launched on Tuesday, February 27th. This project, led by Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) and other knowledge institutes, aims to fully exploit the potential of LEVs for sustainable mobility and thereby contribute to the accessibility, livability, and safety of our urban regions. Finding solutions will involve close collaboration with both public and private partners.
