Farewell speech by Paul Peeters and inaugural lecture by Nina Nesterova

After nearly 22 years as a professor of Sustainability, Tourism and Transport at Breda University of Applied Sciences, Paul Peeters will retire and deliver his farewell speech. At the end of 2022, Nina Nesterova took over the professorship, and she will concurrently present her inaugural lecture.

Paul’s farewell speech will reflect on the insights gained from over two decades of research at the intersection of science, professional practice, and the significant challenges faced by the tourism sector and the world at large, with a special focus on the efficacy of an applied sciences professorship. 

Nina’s inaugural lecture will outline the upcoming research agenda on modal shifts towards sustainable tourism travel.
