Choose your confidential counsellor

Within BUas, we have several confidential counsellors. You can choose whether you prefer a confidential counsellor who works within your academy or one who does not.

Unsure about whether or not to consult a confidential counsellor?

Undesired behaviour can cause issues such as stress or mental health problems. It is important not to keep these concerns to yourself, but to talk about it. If you are unsure, know that our confidential counsellors are there for you. So even if you have doubts, reach out to them for a confidential conversation.

What can you expect when you report to a confidential counsellor?

We have made a detailed, step-by-step description of what you can expect when you report to a confidential counsellor.

What happens if you make a report?

Undesired behaviour during a lecture or project group

If you encounter undesired behaviour during a lecture or project group, your lecturer is your first point of contact. Are you uncomfortable with that? Then you can also contact your coach or a confidential counsellor.

Undesired behaviour by fellow students, both on and off campus

Are you experiencing undesired behaviour by fellow students, on or off campus? Please discuss this with your coach, student counsellor, or one of the confidential counsellors. The undisired behaviour does not necessarily have to occur on campus. You can also come to us with your story when it takes place off campus.

I have experienced undesired behaviour by a fellow student

Have you experienced undesired behaviour such as bullying, (sexual) harassment, aggression, (sexual) violence, or discrimination by a fellow student? You can seek advice from a confidential counsellor.

I have experienced undesired behaviour by a staff member

Have you experienced undesired behaviour by a member of staff (e.g. a lecturer, janitor, manager, or anyone else employed by BUas)? You can share your story with a confidential counsellor and get advice.

Would you like to submit a complaint? A confidential counsellor can support you in this.
