The strategy 2018-2021 (pdf) describes, among other things, how we are going to dedicate even greater focus on international education, synergy between the different disciplines and cooperation with industry partners. Students, lecturers and researchers are encouraged to nurture their talents, but also to be develop their ingenuity and inventiveness.
The completely renovated historical convent, where the degree programmes of Hotel, Facility and Tourism moved to in September 2018, is part of the new campus. As from September 2019, the campus will accommodate all degree programmes of Breda University of Applied Sciences.
In this inspiring environment, we prepare our students for international careers. The majority of our degree programmes are taught in English, but the Dutch-taught programmes also devote a lot of attention to international business and cooperation.
Half a century of experience
Breda University of Applied Sciences (previously NHTV Breda) is the world’s largest and leading education institute offering degree programmes in tourism, leisure and hospitality.
With over half a century of experience in practice-based higher education and international cooperation, our degree programmes have recorded consistently high rankings in the ‘Keuzegids’ for many years now. The quality of our international education is attested to by international recognition from, for instance, the UN World Tourism Organization, the World Leisure Organization and the International Facility Management Association.
New name, new logo
In line with the strategic objectives, our institute changed its name on 1 September 2018 to Breda University of Applied Sciences (previously NHTV Breda). A new name also calls for a new corporate identity and a new logo. We have made a short video on how these were developed.
