This is exactly what I was looking for!

Elisabeth was looking for a professional bachelor’s programme in the field of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. And she found it at BUas! Read her story here.

“As early as in my first year of the MBO programme in Marketing & Communication I knew that I wanted to do something in the field of Data and Artificial Intelligence. So when I heard that BUas was going to start a new programme, I was over the moon! It fit exactly. I had just graduated, and  BUas is the only institute offering this specific course as a professional bachelor’s programme. I quickly made up my mind!”

Elisabeth about Applied Data Science & AI

Admiration

“My interest actually came from my aunt, who worked as an AI Specialist at Microsoft. I admire her because she’s a woman working in a technological and a rapidly changing environment. And that’s why I chose this programme. I want to help organisations to enable their digital transformation processes by maximising the value of their data.”

Exciting

“It was quite exciting at first because I didn’t know exactly  what I could expect, but I’ve liked it very much so far. I feel good on the campus and feel I can really be myself. It’s an international environment, so I can further develop my English. You’re absolutely not a number here; that’s what I like as well.”

Favourite course

“I have studied here for six months now, and have found all courses interesting so far, but mostly  Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Digital Transformation, Machine Learning, Mathematics and Programming. Some courses are more difficult than others, but you always get some help. Programming is my favourite course.”

A day on the campus

“A day on the campus as an ADS&AI student starts in our Data Lab at 9 a.m. with a Q&A and a stand-up session. You can ask questions about the assignment or other matters relating to the project you’re working on. After the Q&A, we get to work, and there is always a backup who could help us if we’re stuck. On self-study days, we work from home or on campus, and we prepare for the Data Lab days.”
