Special features BSC Tourism
Field projects
During your studies you will work on inspiring research projects, both at home and abroad.
During your programme in year 1, you will carry out a quantitative research project together with several fellow students. You will conduct this research in the Netherlands, looking at a specific topic within tourism. Examples include media use, over-tourism and spending patterns.
In the second year, you will be challenged to look at how tourism developments can improve the quality of life in tourist destinations. This research is conducted in a foreign destination and has a distinct interdisciplinary and intercultural aspect.
Direct access to an academic master’s degree
After completing your academic bachelor’s programme, you will have direct access to, for example, the MSc Leisure and Tourism Studies in Breda (one year) or the MSc Tourism Society and Environment in Wageningen (two years), as well as to a large number of other academic master’s programmes at home and abroad.
Graduates continued their studies at more than 20 different universities in the Netherlands and internationally. Check the website for more information on all possibilities.
