The Placemaking and Events Group studies the role of attractions and events in processes of regional and urban development and their impacts on regions, cities and communities.

The group combines insights from academic research and professional practice to provide tools for attractions and events to develop engaging experiences and to improve the quality of life for all. The Group has extensive international contacts and is an active participant in the activities of the Association for Tourism and Leisure Research and Education (ATLAS).
