Ingrid Timmermans new member of the BUas Executive Board

Ingrid Timmermans (RA) has been appointed as a member of the BUas Executive Board with effect from 1 October 2022. She is the successor to Nico van Os who held this role at BUas for more than 16 years. Her portfolio focus includes operations and finances.

  • About BUas

At the moment, Ingrid Timmermans is director of the BUas service of Finance, Control & Student-services and has held that position since September 2014. In this role she was responsible for the financial policy of BUas, the planning & control cycle, procurement and contract management, and student office. Before that she was a Registered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she also was a member of the ‘landelijke sectorgroep Onderwijs’ (national education sector group) as well an external training instructor for educational institutions. Ingrid is a member of the Supervisory Board of Stichting Signum (an umbrella organisation of several special primary education schools) and a member of the Audit Committee of Vereniging de Zonnebloem (a volunteer organisation for people with physical disabilities).

Ingrid (aged 40, married, two children, living in Rosmalen) studied at Tilburg University as a Registered Accountant, supplemented by practical training as a Registered Accountant at Nivra Nijenrode. She is active in the ‘Inspire – Circle of Professionals’ knowledge network.

Erwin van Lambaart, chair of the BUas Supervisory Board: ‘ We are very happy with Ingrid’s appointment as a member of the BUas Executive Board. We were privileged to have had several strong candidates in the selection procedure. In the end, we chose Ingrid because in recent years she has shown that she is someone who can make a difference, time and again, on the basis of both strategic and substantive considerations. We look forward to her working with Jorrit Snijder to lead our strong international institute in the coming years, giving shape to and implementing our clear BUas+ strategy.’

President of the Executive Board Jorrit Snijder: ‘I am pleased with the addition of Ingrid to the Executive Board and I look forward to our cooperation. Ingrid has highly valuable BUas experience and brings key financial and operations management expertise. As a result, the new Executive Board is again highly complementary in its composition.’

Ingrid about her appointment: ‘I would like to develop further and where better to do so than at the institute I know so well and are so enormously proud of? I am very much looking forward to further cooperation internally and with external BUas contacts and I am highly motivated to contribute, through my new role, to the continued development of BUas+.’

The Executive Board will start the recruitment process for a successor to Ingrid as director of Finance, Control & Student-services this week.
