BUas Takes Home Bronze at the Besties Awards 2026
Breda University of Applied Sciences has won a bronze award at the first-ever Besties Ceremony, organised by the European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA). The prize was presented in the Edcom Initiatives category. The award went to the Learning Lounge, an initiative by Creative Business lecturers Koen Suidgeest, Stefan Egberts and Rob Verhagen.
Bridging Education and Industry
The Learning Lounge connects Creative Business students at BUas directly with professionals from the media and creative industries. Students get a real taste of working life; professionals get a front-row seat to the next generation of talent.
European Recognition
The Besties Awards — formerly known as the Best Practice Awards — are organised annually by the EACA, the voice of Europe's communications agencies and associations. This year marked a significant expansion of the awards, opening participation to all EACA members, including members of edcom. The ceremony brought together some of the most impactful initiatives from across Europe.
With the Bronze Award, BUas reaffirms its position as a university that delivers innovative, connected education at a European level.
