AVENUE

Centres of Vocational Excellence in the Creative Visual Industry (AVENUE) identifies and responds to the urgent need for professional training and educational development within the creative visual industry.

What was the goal of this research?

AVENUE aims to equip students and emerging professionals with relevant skills in content creation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and the application of AI in creative workflows, while also promoting sustainable practices and healthy working environments. The project further supports the development of literacy in new technologies, AI, and game technologies.

What method was employed?

AVENUE will carry out industry-relevant research to assess skill gaps and training needs in the creative visual industry. The project adopts a collaborative, transnational approach, offering a wide range of vocational training formats, many of which are Open Access, and promotes professional mobility and networking. It also transforms traditional formal education within the five VET institutions to align with market demands by integrating new technologies and skillsets.

What findings did we uncover?

While the project is still in its early stages, anticipated findings include a systematised upgrade of skills among over 2000 individuals, spanning professionals, students, and young talents. The project is expected to result in a sustainable transformation of vocational training, enhancing the relevance and responsiveness of education to industry needs.
