Sustainable Business

Tekst

In this track, you will learn how to organise supply chains – together with all the businesses involved, both in the Netherlands and abroad – so that they become more sustainable while staying profitable. You will learn what it takes to start and run a business, and you will develop a business plan that takes people, the environment and society into account. What’s more, you will learn to manage international supply chains, including customs procedures and transport methods.

You will work on real-world challenges in transport and distribution, such as electric delivery vehicles used by Picnic and delivery bikes used by Coolblue. You will also explore warehousing, including warehouse design at IKEA and automated systems at bol. In healthcare logistics, you will learn how to optimise the flow of goods, information, and people in a hospital. At the same time, you will prepare for your work placement.

Project & Event Logistics

Tekst

Carrying out a project or event takes careful organisation and planning to make sure everything goes smoothly and without a hitch. Think of football matches, festivals like 538 King's Day, the relocation of a hospital, or a state visit. Good organisation makes the difference between triumph and disaster.

You will learn to plan, coordinate and carry out logistics projects, and you will dive into project management, risk management, stakeholder communication and the financial aspects of projects. In year 2, you will work on projects such as major festivals and complex logistics operations (such as the transport of a wind turbine); in years 3 and 4, you will undertake a work placement and complete your graduation project for a real client.

This specialisation is unique in the Netherlands and trains you to become a project manager for the projects and events of the future.
