Admission requirements

Bachelor of Science Leisure Studies

Do you have a diploma from a Dutch education institution (diplomas from the ABC- & SSS Islands not included)? See if you meet the admission requirements for Dutch students.

International students

You can be admitted to the programme with:

  • An International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma
  • An European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma
  • Another secondary or high school diploma that equals the Dutch vwo diploma (such as Abitur in Germany)
  • A professional bachelor's diploma or propaedeutic certificate

English language requirements

You will also be required to demonstrate sufficient results on one of these tests:

  • Cambridge English Qualification: B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency). Minimum score of 169 (overall and speaking)
  • IELTS Academic: Minimum score of 6.0 (overall and speaking)
  • TOEFL iBT: iBT Minimum score of 80 (overall), 20 (speaking)
  • Pearson PTE Academic: Minimum score of 61 (overall and speaking)
  • LanguageCert Academic: Minimum score of 65 (overall and speaking)

Please note: All tests must be taken at an official test centre.

Exemptions from taking the English test

You do not need to submit an English test if:

  • You graduated from Dutch havo or vwo
  • You hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, Career-related Programme Certificate of the IB, US High School diploma, GCE A(S) levels, or European Baccalaureate certificate (English Language 1 or 2)
  • Your previous education (completed secondary school or university) was taught in English in a native English-speaking country (Australia, Canada [except Quebec], Ireland, New Zealand, UK, USA)
  • You hold a diploma listed by Nuffic with English as one of the exam subjects. Check the list of diplomas (pdf).
