BUas alumni build strong careers
The latest HBO-Monitor follow-up survey conducted by the Research Center for Education and the Labor Market (ROA) among higher professional education (HBO) alumni throughout the Netherlands shows that graduates of Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) are firmly established in the labour market several years after graduation. Compared to the national average, BUas alumni earn a higher income and are more likely to hold a managerial position.
The survey, which examined the careers of alumni four to eight years after graduation, reveals that nearly one-third of BUas alumni (32.9%) are now managing staff, compared to 24.2% nationally. They also earn more on average (€4,525 versus €4,367 gross per month) and report significantly better career opportunities (72.4% versus 66.5%). BUas alumni are also notably often found in commercial, managerial, and creative positions. This reflects the broad, practice-oriented employability that BUas instills in its students.
The figures above are based on the results of 324 BUas alumni who responded to the HBO-Monitor follow-up survey. The results therefore represent a sample and are not representative of all BUas alumni.
