GoodMood: Discover Breda and meet new friends
From 17–21 November 2025, the Municipality of Breda, together with Avans University of Applied Sciences, BUas, Curio and De Rooi Pannen, is organizing a special program for all vocational (mbo) and applied sciences (hbo) students in Breda: GoodMood – a week full of connections, experiences and inspiration.

Students can take part in workshops, city walks, dinners, sports activities, lectures, creative sessions and more. It’s all about discovery: the city, each other, and themselves. GoodMood helps students feel at home in Breda more quickly and encourages them to actively engage in student life and society.
Why is GoodMood important?
The transition to mbo or hbo can be a big step – especially when moving to a new city. GoodMood was developed to help students:
• feel at home in Breda faster
• build new friendships and networks
• explore their talents outside the classroom
• connect with culture, sports and social engagement GoodMood contributes to student well-being – not only through relaxation and fun, but also with tips, support and a community where students feel seen.
The program is (mostly) free and accessible for everyone, in both Dutch and English.
GoodMood aligns with the goal of creating an inclusive, safe and vibrant learning environment. The more connected students feel, the greater the chance they will study successfully and with joy.
