We offer workshops lasting one or two hours. If you choose a two-hour workshop, you can take part in one session. Prefer one-hour workshops? Then you can join up to two different sessions.

Don't want to attend workshop(s), but still want to come for a drink? You are more than welcome to join us from 5pm. Sign up in advance anyway, so we can take your arrival into account.

AI & Large Language Models (Adriaan van Liempt)

Duration: 1 hour

Discover how we at BUas work with AI and Large Language Models, and more importantly: share your experiences! 

During this informal session, we will briefly discuss how we guide students through AI challenges and the pitfalls we encounter. But we are especially curious about your practice: how do you apply AI and data science in your field? What knowledge would you have liked to develop more during your studies? What questions do you have now? 

An open conversation where the goal is to learn from each other.

Exhibitions and Entrepreneurship in the Event Sector (Ton Otten)

Duration: 1 hour

ExpoTalent will provide an interactive session focused on sharing insights about fairs and entrepreneurship within the event sector.

The session will be interactive and accessible, combining the presentation with a Q&A session based on stimulating statements.

Hoe maak je van je werk(leven) een spannend avontuur? (Brigitte Ars)

Duration: 1 hour
Language: Dutch

 "Avontuur is het gevoel dat je leeft, ook op je werk."

Zoek jij meer vrijheid, flow en plezier in je werk? Ontdek hoe je werk kunt benaderen als een avontuur en je nieuwsgierige, speelse mindset weer tot leven brengt!

Wat kun je verwachten?

• Wat is avontuur en hoe pas je het toe in je werk?
• Hoe activeer je jouw avontuurlijke mindset en waarom je ‘adventure quotiënt' zo belangrijk is.
• Praktische tools om vernieuwing en speelsheid in je werk te brengen.

Of je nu ondernemer bent, in loondienst werkt of een nieuwe richting zoekt—dit is jouw kans om werk te benaderen als een expeditie. 

Brigitte Ars is docent-onderzoeker bij BUas. Daarnaast is ze auteur van het boek ‘Waar is het avontuur? Zoektocht naar een avontuurlijker leven’, oprichter van avonturenplatform AliceGoesWild.nl en host van de Avontuurlijk Leven podcast. In september verschijnt haar boek ‘Expeditie Werk. Hoe je van je (werk)leven een spannend avontuur maakt’.

Speed it Up (Marieke Hommelberg, Elles van Steenis en Lars Davids)

In this session, the aim is to learn from each other and get inspired.

In several rounds you will connect with one another and discuss various questions, such as: What challenges do you face in your work? What is the best advice a colleague gave to you? What are your plans for the next 5 years? 

There will be plenty of questions available anyway to use for inspiration, so let's connect!

Two hour workshops

Strategic Reframing for Breakthrough Thinking (Stifani Herpich)

We’ll begin by reflecting on why conventional problem-solving methods in business often fall short when tackling complexity. Then, we’ll introduce a powerful tool designed to help organizations navigate challenges with creativity, humour, and fresh perspectives. This method not only fosters innovative thinking but also makes the problem-solving process more engaging and dynamic.

Jouw Persoonlijk Kompas (Margot Vrijaldenhoven)

"Ga je mee op onderzoek en wil je nog beter ontdekken wie je werkelijk bent?"

Vind jouw antwoorden op vragen zoals:

• Wie ben jij, wat kun je goed, wat doe je graag, wat wil je het liefst?
• Hoe gedraag jij je als je alleen bent, met anderen en als je onder druk staat?
• Hoe communiceer jij het liefst?
• Wat zijn jouw kwaliteiten?
• Waar loop je soms tegen aan? Wat zijn je valkuilen?
• Wat brengt jou in beweging? Wat is je drijfveer?
• Waar krijg je energie van? Wat kost jou energie?
• Hoe neem jij beslissingen? Wat vind jij belangrijk?
• Hoe kijk je naar de wereld om je heen? Welke informatie haal je op?
• Hoe zie jij jouw toekomst en welke concrete stappen wil je hier zetten?

Door een beter inzicht te krijgen in jouw eigen persoonlijke voorkeuren op het gebied van gedrag en leiderschap, kun je jezelf meer in je kracht zetten en keuzes maken die goed zijn voor jou.

Wat gaan we doen?
Je ontvangt ruim van tevoren een vragenlijst voor je eigen Lumina Spark profielschets, waarmee we tijdens de workshop verder aan de slag gaan. Deze profielschets geeft je een nauwkeurig en gepersonaliseerd beeld van jouw sterke punten en je ontwikkelpunten. We hebben namelijk allemaal onze eigen persoonlijke voorkeuren, gevormd door onze eigenschappen en ervaringen. 

Ook krijg je inzicht in hoe verschillend deze voorkeuren bij mensen kunnen zijn, doordat we met elkaar praktische oefeningen en opdrachten gaan doen. Je leert deze verschillen te (her)kennen, waarderen en inzetten.   

We sluiten af met hoe jij deze inzichten kunt omzetten in concrete acties. Hoe kun jij nog betere keuzes maken en achterhalen welke taken, werkomstandigheden en interesses echt bij je passen om je (werk)geluk te vergroten.

Re | shaping (Juul Paalvast)

Duration: 2 hours
Language: Dutch or English

We increasingly rely on images and visual language. Annual reports become infographics, interviews are replaced by co-creation sessions, and research shows you remember  better with a mix of text and visuals.

In this workshop, you’ll explore some creative visualisation methods and leave with inspiration, practical tools for meetings or R&D, and techniques to bring your ideas to life through drawing and visualisation.
