In-house training company

Sibelicious is a training company where everyone can enjoy tasteful food at a reasonable price while you - the facility or hotel manager of the future - practice your hospitality skills. Sibelicious is accommodated in a monumental building at the campus of Breda University of Applied Sciences. 

You will work in several outlets such as visitor centre, catering, kitchen and restaurant. You organise and provide service to all kind of customers and visitors, who come in for a meeting, congress, lunch or dinner. In your first year you will get familiar with all the outlets of the company and learn about the operations and the facilities. In your second year you have to organise an event, cooperation with your fellow students is important and also the use of facilities. You will get to know all the different aspects of the business - from the first contact with the client to drafting a budget proposal, right up to the execution of an event and the aftercare. 

In daily operations you learn to look at processes and routines based on the lean method. You learn to work as efficiently and sustainably as possible, where reducing the amount of waste and combating food waste is crucial.

The international journey

From day one our students will be introduced into the global world of facility management and will be taken on an international journey. They will start with a field trip to the vibrant city of London to have a look behind the doors of renowned companies such as Wimbledon, Royal Albert Hall, CBRE property management and Microsoft London.  

In year 2 students will perform their 24-week placement in a company abroad, to learn how to operate in a multi-cultural environment and learn from local differences in companies such as HSM Host in Dublin or Ho Chi Min (Vietnam), or the International Convention Centre in Sydney, Australia.  

During the international journey students get in contact in a playful way and become familiar with the global world of facility management. After obtaining their degree, they will definitely have a bright future in the Facility Management industry.

With the Management Development Programme you can develop your personal and professional skills throughout your studies. This will enable you to get the best out of yourself. In addition to one-to-one coaching, we also find bonding with your fellow students very important, as well as study behaviour and study skills. 

According to the method of Lumina Learning you are going to work on your personal qualities. You will learn to reflect on your own actions, and you will learn how to give feedback to others and how to deal with criticism. The method helps you to develop yourself into a young professional and enables you to present yourself to the industry in a professional way.
