International students
Please add these dates to your calendar:
- Apply in Studielink between 1 October and 1 May
The earlier you apply, the sooner you will get clarity, and the more time you will have to prepare for your studies (and your move, if needed). If you meet the admission requirements and complete all the necessary steps on time, you can start your studies in September. - EU applicants only: applying after 1 May
If you apply after 1 May but before 31 August, BUas will assess whether you can still be admitted. In most cases, you can still join if you meet the requirements. However, the advice you received based on your study choice activity will be binding, and you may need to complete some steps more quickly. - Non-EU applicants: 1 May is a strict deadline
If you are a non-EU applicant, you must apply via Studielink on 1 May at the latest, and submit your application in My online application on 4 May at the latest. Applications received after these dates will not be considered, due to visa processing requirements. - EU applicants: Finalize your enrolment well before 31 August
Upload all the necessary documents and arrange your tuition fee payment as early as you can. Although 31 August is the final deadline, completing your enrolment sooner gives you peace of mind – you will know much earlier that everything is sorted and ready to go. - Non EU applicants: Finalize your enrolment well before 1 July
Upload all necessary documents and arrange payments as early as possible. While the final deadline is 1 July due to visa application requirements, completing your enrolment sooner gives you peace of mind – you'll know much earlier that everything is sorted and ready to go.
- Step 1: Submit your application via Studielink
You are required to apply via Studielink, the platform for enrolment in higher education in the Netherlands.
You will need:
- Your personal details (as shown on your passport or ID)
- Your DigiD (if you live in the Netherlands) or a scan of your passport/EU ID card (if you don't live in the Netherlands yet)
How to apply:
- Go to Studielink.nl and log in with DigiD, or select 'Create account without DigiD'
- Choose your programme and select the correct language track (English)
After submitting your application:
- Track your status in Studielink and in My Online Application
- BUas will email you about the next steps – check your spam folder too
- Step 2: Complete your application in My Online Application
After submitting your application in Studielink, you will receive an email inviting you to complete your application in My Online Application.
There, you will answer a few additional questions (for example about your English proficiency) and upload the following documents:- Curriculum vitae (resume)
- ID or passport
- Secondary school diploma with your list of grades. Not graduated yet? Upload your most recent list of grades instead. Add a translation if your documents are not in English, French, German or Dutch.
- English test results (if applicable). Still need to take the English test? English test results can be uploaded at a later stage.
Tip: try to submit everything within three weeks of applying, and in any case before the deadline. It takes about 30 minutes, and you can track your application status in My Online Application.
- Step 3: Study choice check and Meet & Greet
In My Online Application, you complete two short activities.
- Study choice check (mandatory)
Watch the BUas Story of your programme and answer a few short questions. This helps you see whether the programme fits you, and it helps us understand your motivation and expectations. Once you've completed this step and submitted your application, you'll receive your (conditional) admission letter by email.2. Online - Meet & Greet (recommended)
Join an online session with a BUas lecturer and a group of other prospective students. It's not mandatory, but we really recommend it.
What is the Meet & Greet?
It's not a test, there's nothing to pass or fail. It's a relaxed way to ask any remaining questions, meet fellow students, and get a feel for the programme and student life at BUas. Many students say it helped them feel more confident and excited to start. You choose a date that suits you while completing your application. If you're (conditionally) admitted, you'll receive an official invitation about two weeks before the session.- Study choice check (mandatory)
- Step 4: Complete your enrolment; tuition fee payment
In order to complete your enrolment, you need to either confirm your digital authorisation or pay your tuition fee. You can find more information about the payment of the tuition fee here. This will be possible from May onwards. You will receive an e-mail requesting that you enter your payment details via your ‘To do’ list in Studielink.
We will stay in touch
