Two prizes for Breda University of Applied Sciences at Grads in Games & Rising Star!

Two weeks ago, students and institutions from all over Europe competed during the Grads in Games event in the UK. BUas was nominated in three categories: Ivo van Roij – best technical artist; Office Hustle – best student game award; and BUas Games – best educational institution. We won in the last category. The jury said: “Breda University of Applied Sciences is one of the most promising universities in Europe, taking a project based approach that really allows the abilities of their students to shine, and proven by their high industry employment rate.”

That same evening, Tahar Meijs won the Sumo Digital Rising Star for Games Programming, an award for students in the middle of their studies. Tahar showed the judges his confidence in his strengths as a coder while acknowledging there’s always more to learn.
