You will delve into supply chain strategy, leadership, change and innovation management, and business intelligence in supply chain management, laying the foundation for your final-year research project in year two. From day one, you will be guided by a supervisor. Theoretical basis and an approved thesis topicIn the first year you will attend six modules: - Leadership - Research Methods - Business Intelligence - Supply Chain Strategy - Supply Chain & Research Fundamentals - Change & Innovation These modules are delivered in the form of masterclasses. Training courses and a business game are also included and are part of the modules Supply Chain & Research Fundamentals, Leadership, and Business Intelligence. The modules all contribute to laying a theoretical basis. At the end of the year, you will be assessed by sitting examinations and submitting assignments and papers. While these knowledge and skills are formed, you will be asked to find a suitable graduation host company including an approved thesis topic that matches your preferences. A mentor will guide you in this. **Year 2** In the second year, you will work on your graduation research, preferably within your own organisation. This way, you will tackle current supply chain issues strategically and add direct value. In the Integrated Supply Chain Cases module, you will analyse and design several supply chain issues. Moreover, you will make a start on your graduation track by analysing your graduation company and its supply chain. You will then draw up a research proposal, followed by its execution. Your thesis will make a concrete contribution to your company and strengthen your professional position and career prospects. Integrated Supply Chain Cases and a graduation projectIn the second year you will learn to integrate the different disciplines from the first semester and apply these to practice. You will start with the Integrated Supply Chain Cases module. In this module you will learn to apply the various disciplines from the first year and quantitative modelling skills in different supply chain cases. At the beginning of the second year, you will start conducting preparatory supply chain research with your graduation host company and deliver a research plan (for the module Research Proposal). The thesis period will start in week nine. During the thesis period you will be challenged to analyse a supply chain at strategic level, deliver a supply chain improvement proposal and implementation approach, and develop and demonstrate your leadership skills in collaboration with the graduation company’s stakeholders. Through masterclasses and modules, you will develop into a strategic supply chain leader. You will strengthen your expertise in supply chain management and hone your analytical and cross-cultural skills. **Assessment** Most courses are concluded with an examination or paper, for which you must achieve a minimum mark of 5.5. You complete the master's programme with an individual research proposal that you develop into an academic thesis, ideally linked to a strategic issue within your own organisation. **Learning communities** As a part-time student, you can also participate as a professional in our professional learning communities. Here, you can exchange knowledge and experience with fellow students, lecturers, and international experts from the business world. Together, you will work on realistic case studies and practical projects, further strengthening your analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.(international) cases and practical projects are discussed. In doing so, you will develop your analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills. The executive master's programme lasts two years. In year one, you will attend classes on the BUas campus in Breda every Wednesday, plus one and a half days of independent study per week. A permanent supervisor will guide you from the start.
