## What does a job in Game Design entail?

As a game designer, you will be responsible for creating and refining the game experience. You will generate concepts, develop prototypes and apply iterative design based on test results. You collaborate with programmers, visual artists and other team members to design the game. Depending on your choice, you can specialise in roles such as technical designer, level designer or game designer, contributing to awesome games.

### Game Designer

Is involved throughout the entire game development process and is contributing to the player experience.

 

 

 

### Level Designer

Creates and designs game levels, ensuring the pacing, technical implementation and difficulty are balanced for the player experience.

 ### A master’s programme after Game Design

After earning your bachelor's degree in CMGT Game Design, you have the option of attending a [master's programme](https://www.buas.nl/en/programmes?f%5B0%5D=type%3AMaster) at BUas or at another university for further specialisation. With a VWO (or equivalent) diploma you can enrol on the fast track and get your bachelor’s and master’s in four years.
