## English language requirements

You will also be required to demonstrate **sufficient results on one of these tests**:

- **Cambridge English Qualification:** B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency). Minimum score of 169 (overall and speaking)
- **IELTS Academic:** Minimum score of 6.0 (overall and speaking)
- **TOEFL iBT:** iBT Minimum score of 80 (overall), 20 (speaking)
- **Pearson PTE Academic:** Minimum score of 61 (overall and speaking)
- **LanguageCert Academic:** Minimum score of 65 (overall and speaking)

**Please note:** All tests must be taken at an official test centre.

Exemptions from taking the English testYou do not need to submit an English test if:

- You graduated from Dutch havo or vwo or mbo 4
- You hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, Career-related Programme Certificate of the IB, US High School diploma, GCE A(S) levels, or European Baccalaureate certificate (English Language 1 or 2)
- Your previous education (completed secondary school or university) was taught in English in a native English-speaking country (Australia, Canada \[except Quebec\], Ireland, New Zealand, UK, USA)

If your secondary school diploma is [comparable to the Dutch vwo-diploma](https://www.buas.nl/sites/default/files/2019-03/comparable-with-VWO.pdf), you may be eligible for admission into the three-year track.
