International Kick-Off

Breda University of Applied Sciences organises an International Kick-off event before you actually start your studies. You will be informed about legal affairs, how to open a Dutch bank account, register at the city hall and plenty of other practical information. Attending this event is mandatory. In the second semester we will also organise an International Kick-off.

Guidance

Students can ask for support from student counsellors in the area of academic career guidance, student facilities, and questions or problems of a personal nature. Contact details of our student counsellors are to be found on the on the student portal.

ESN Breda

Breda University of Applied Sciences has its own Erasmus Student Network for international students, called ESN Breda. This organisation will help you from the very start of your time in the Netherlands (pick-up from the airport and buddy programme) right until the end of your exchange (farewell party).Furthermore it organises all kinds of activities for international students, like a movie night, trips to Amsterdam and other Dutch heritage sites, international dinners, sports events, and so on.

BRESS

In cooperation with the student sports organisation BRESS, you are offered the opportunity to practise a variety of sports for a reasonable price. If you want to get active during your stay in the Netherlands, BRESS is the place to go! More information can be found on the BRESS website.

Dutch Culture and Society 

To gain a better understanding of the Netherlands and the Dutch, you can participate in the course Dutch Culture and Society. Upon completion, Dutch culture and society will have no surprises anymore.

IT Services

All students have access to the computing services or the organisation. Before arrival you wil get a personal user account in order to have access to all the IT Services. The IT Services include Computer Labs, wireless networks around the campus, Intranet, e-mail account, and the electronic learning environment called Cum Laude. As we will be working with Cum Laude throughout the entire study programme, you are strongly recommended to bring a laptop.

Library services

Our Library services are available for all students, staff and everyone else, who needs professional information. Most of the library services are free of charge. More information about the Library services
