Executive Board President Elisabeth Minnemann will be leaving BUas
11 May 2020
Elisabeth Minnemann, President of the BUas Executive Board, will be leaving BUas at the end of this academic year. She has accepted the position of President of the Executive Board at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, with effect from 15 August. THUAS is an internationally oriented UAS with 27,000 students and 1,900 staff members in The Hague.
Elisabeth: “The decision to leave BUas was not an easy one, and it was made even more difficult because of the situation we find ourselves in with Covid-19. BUas holds a special place in my heart, and I enjoyed my time here immensely. But I have a strong connection with The Hague, and an opportunity like this, in the city where I live, does not come by very often.”
The BUas Supervisory Board will start the process to find an excellent successor as President of the Executive Board, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Erwin van Lambaart, acting BUas Supervisory Board Chair, regrets Elisabeth (BUas President since April 2018) will be leaving BUas, but understands her motivation. Erwin: “Elisabeth has actively engaged in educational innovation, crucial for BUas to be and develop as a state-of-the-art education institute. We are grateful to Elisabeth that she has ambitiously taken the lead, together with Nico van Os and other EB members, and contributed to the BUas strategy and transformation, resulting in an improved stronger identity and international profile. We sincerely wish her happy and fruitful times at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, a well respected colleague institute.”
