# Data breach at Canvas 

 

Earlier this month, the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), developed by Instructure, was hacked. Canvas is used by educational institutions worldwide. Data was leaked as a result of this hack.

 

 

 

 

 

 Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) is also on the list of affected educational institutions. Between 2017 and 2019, we did indeed use Canvas for small-scale courses, outside the regular curriculum.

This hack therefore has no impact on current or former students and staff.
